Sonntag! Sonntag! Soooooonntaaaaaag!

Guten Tag!

Today Brian and I met Georgia and Will half-way between here and Cincinn at a German restaurant. It was lots o' fun, and time well spent eating and laughing, more laughing than eating....well maybe it was tied, we had dessert! Will seemed very excited to go to this place, it seems the man doesn't get to wear his lederhosen as much as he would like...

William ist sehr hübsch in seinem lederhosen!
(Will looks very handsome in his lederhosen!)

And more on Georgia's clan...
Jamie is in Reno doing a internship. She is giving snow mobile tours at a park there. Yes! She gets paid for this! I imagine though she gets pretty wicked Helmet Head!

Jamie in Helmet.

Don't worry she is keeping warm, I sent some of The Bronze Horseman series of books to her to read and so I'm sure Shura is keeping Jamie toasty! If you read the books, you'll know why....wink...wink!!!!

For some reason people are always telling me I have too much time on my hands. [shrugs shoulders] This happened again last week when someone had asked how I painted the kitchen cabinets. This is about the fifth or sixth time someone has asked me how so as long as was typing it out I decided to put it on a webpage. So If you or anyone else would like to know how I painted the kitchen cabinets just go here...

http://www.ivmoores.com/house/painting_cabinets.htm

You'll notice on this page I put google ads. I bet you see these google ads on all sorts of pages you look at. The reason why is you get paid by google if anyone clicks on the ads. I thought I would try it for my pages I get a lot of traffic on, like the Claire's Ring page, and some of my favorite book pages, and I hope this page in time will come up when people google about "painting kitchen cabinets". I've been doing since December and it seems to me that it adds up to 20 cents a click. So I have about 20 dollars in my google account. It's not much but it's 20 more than I had before! :-)

Auf Wiedersehen!

One Kleenex or two?

Thought I would share the last two movies I saw...

The Bucket List
with Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson. Jack (he let's me call him Jack) plays the character he always plays, rich and divorced. He gets his head shaved in the movie, so try to wait and eat your popcorn after that image so you don't waste it! It's gonna come up, some things are better left on, in this case Jack Nicholson's hair! Actually his hair and shirt! It was really good though. Bring Kleenex!

The other movie was Juno!

Now last week for the show, it was between Juno and Bucket List, I said to my neighbor Lisa that I think I would find two old men funnier than a teenage pregnant girl. As a parent its just a little hard to find humor in a teenage girl carrying a baby. I admit after seeing Juno, I was wrong! It was really good. I just adored the prego teenager played by Ellen Page, she just too cute, and too funny, she was great. The boy, the impregnator, is from the show "Arrested Development " if you remember that. It's a good movie to take a 16 year old girl to, it really showed that you are too young to have a child. You might need Kleenex, I could of used a sheet!

Familywise...
Ian is still working at the little restaurant up the room, we are waiting for him to get off and bring home some pizzas as I type!

Collin went for glasses and contacts, we haven't mastered the contact putting in situation, and have to go back for one more try. We discovered from his last eye exam two years ago, a lot can happen in two years! Poor guy, a whole new worlds going to open up for him. I got glasses too......only AS NEEDED....but they are bi-focals...YIKES!

Mim and Norm are making plans for their 50th wedding anniversary. Brenda is coming in and everyone is meeting at a waterpark hotel to watch men over 40 act younger then the boys under 20! It's always entetaining!

Before I go...
I just wanted to share this link (Thanks Marcie!)...

http://www.google.com/reader/

It's to keep track of blogs, they show up all in one place so you dont have to go from blog to blog. You need a gmail account though.

That's about it, we are hoping we still have asses by Monday and they aren't frozen off! Brrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Sunday, Sunday....Suuuuuundaaaaaaaay!

This past Sunday I drove up to South Bend to have lunch with Gretchen after she dropped off Rachael at school. For those of you that don't know we have been friends since the age of three, she says four, after I think about it she might just be right. We got married a week apart, were maid of honors in each others weddings, and we both married our high school sweethearts, had our first babies 9 months apart. Hmmmm...makes me want to dig up a picture.

Here we all are circa October 1985, she made my wedding dress too!

We went to lunch at Carabba's, we thought we were in the bathroom alone and talking about something you shouldn't be talking about in the bathroom and when we were washing our hands we heard someone cough! We just started laughing and ran out of there before the person would see what we looked like. When you have known someone this long we have a tendency we act like the four years olds we once were! :-)

After lunch I took Gretchen to the priest retirement home to meet Fr. Bill. He gave Gretchen a tour, and she was just as impressed with the snack room off the la-z-boy filled big screen TV room as I was. It was nice since it was still decorated for xmas and there were filled candy dishes scattered all around the place, it was like Trick-or-Treating! We then tried to figure out a way to get Gretchen's dad in the priesthood so he could get one of those nice rooms!

Then more visiting with Rachael sitting in her dorms lobby, listening to college life. She's doing great at St. Mary's with the exception of her pants accidently falling down in her Italian class......but thankfully she has a male teacher and now will be getting A's!

Rachael and her Italian teacher 6 months later!

The boys stayed home and watched football. Woo-Hoo!

p.s. That's not really Rachael's Italian teacher! I think its her English teacher! *grin*
